Ingredients
- 2 tablespoons Whipped Buttery Spread
- 2 pounds 93% Lean Ground Beef
- 2½ teaspoons Minced Garlic (jar)
- 1 cup Green Bell Pepper chopped
- ½ cup Onion chopped
- 1½ cups 50/50 Ketchup (Low Sodium/Low Sugar)
- 2 tablespoon Light Brown Sugar
- 2 tablespoon No Salt Added Tomato Paste
- 2 teaspoon Salt Free Chili Powder
- 1 teaspoon Dry Mustard
- ½ teaspoon Crushed Red Pepper
- 2 teaspoons Worcestershire Sauce
- ¼ teaspoon Kosher Salt
- ¼ teaspoon Black Pepper
- 8 Kaiser Rolls
Instructions
- Brown the ground beef in a large skillet over medium-high heat. Add garlic, bell pepper, and onion and cook for 5 minutes. Stir in the ketchup, brown sugar, tomato paste, chili powder, dry mustard, red pepper flakes, and 1 cup water. Simmer for 15 minutes. Stir in Worcestershire sauce, salt, and pepper. Keep mixture warm until ready to serve.
- Spread the rolls with buttery spread and brown on a griddle over medium heat.
- Divide sloppy joe mixture evenly between 8 rolls and serve.
