Heart Healthy Buttermilk Pancake Master Mix
With so many packaged "pancake" mixes available why would you want to make your own? Because YOU control what SIX ingredients will make up YOUR mix. It's true that many of the "heart healthy" packaged brands are not bad for you, but they do contain more than six simple ingredients. Plus, making your own mix is more economical since this batch makes 10 1/2 cups versus the standard packaged mix that usually contains 7 1/2 cups.
- 2 cups Buttermilk Powder
- 8 cups All Purpose Flour
- ½ cup Granulated Sugar
- 8 teaspoons Baking Powder
- 4 teaspoons Baking Soda
- ½ teaspoon Table Salt
- In a large bowl, combine all ingredients. Stir well with a wire whisk to make sure all of the ingredients are evenly distributed. Pour mix into a 12-cup airtight container. Label with date and contents. Makes about 10-1/2 cups. Store in cool, dry place for up to 6 months.
