This really is the best fried rice recipe and super easy to make. The cooking techniques are a little different than most fried rice recipes. But, I think you will agree that a fried rice dish that gives you fluffy eggs, perfectly cooked rice, restaurant flavor, and easy to clean up is a win win for everyone!
Heat ½-tablespoon of butter in a large non-stick wok or Dutch oven over medium-high heat. Add eggs. Cook until scrambled, stirring as needed. Transfer to a plate.
Stir Fry the Rice:
Add 1 tablespoon of the butter to the pan. Add onion, peas and carrots, and garlic. Cook and stir for 5 minutes. Increase heat to high and add remaining ½-tablespoon of butter. Add the rice, green onions, soy sauce, and oyster sauce. Cook and stir for 3-5 minutes to fry the rice. Remove from heat. Stir in the cooked eggs and sesame oil.Recipe Tip: You can stir in 1 cup cooked meat along with the eggs and sesame oil.
Plate and Serve:
Divide the rice mixture evenly between 6 bowls.Store any leftovers in an airtight container. Refrigerate for up to 5 days.
